The D20S-NS Solar-Powered NB-IoT Soil & Temperature Sensor is an industrial-grade environmental monitoring device designed for long-term, off-grid operation. The integrated solar panel continuously recharges the internal Li-ion battery, providing significantly longer operational life compared to battery-only models — ideal for remote locations where reliability is essential.
Using a highly accurate DS18B20 stainless-steel probe, the sensor measures temperatures from –55°C to +125°C with ±0.5°C typical accuracy. The probe’s extended cable allows deep-soil, compost, greenhouse, or water-surface installations while keeping the electronics safely above ground.
The NB-IoT / LTE-M (Cat-M1) connectivity ensures wide-area cellular coverage across Australia, making it perfect for sites without LoRaWAN coverage. With ultra-low-power design and solar-assisted charging, the device operates for years with no human intervention.
The sensor includes BLE configuration, OTA firmware updates, temperature alarms, and local data logging to ensure no readings are lost during temporary network outages.
