This Solar-Powered SDI-12 to NB-IoT Converter enables SDI-12 environmental sensors to operate continuously and transmit data directly to the cloud via NB-IoT — with no gateway, wiring, or power infrastructure needed.
Designed for smart agriculture, weather stations, soil monitoring, hydrology, and environmental science, this device supports the full SDI-12 protocol and offers controllable 3.3V, 5V, and 12V outputs to power a wide range of SDI-12 probes. It can interface with sensors measuring soil moisture, soil temperature, rainfall, EC/pH, barometric pressure, water level, and many other environmental variables.
This solar model features a built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery with integrated solar panel, providing true long-term field autonomy. The system is engineered for remote deployments where battery replacement is difficult or impossible.
Connectivity is flexible, with support for MQTT, MQTTs, CoAP, TCP, and UDP, making it compatible with ProSight Cloud or any modern IoT platform. Users can configure the device via Bluetooth, and firmware updates can be performed remotely through OTA.
