The Battery-Powered RS485-NB Industrial Converter is a rugged RS485/UART-to-cellular device built for long-range NB-IoT / LTE-M / 4G communication. It enables full remote monitoring and control of Modbus meters, controllers, industrial sensors, pumps, environmental instruments and automation equipment — with no gateway, cabling, or trenching required.

Powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCl₂ long-life battery, the device supports multi-year operation in the field. The IP67 waterproof enclosure ensures reliable performance in harsh outdoor environments such as farms, vineyards, bore sites, solar installations, pump stations, mining camps, and remote industrial sites.

The RS485-NB communicates over NB-IoT / LTE-M, providing exceptional coverage and low-power connectivity on Australia’s major networks. Configuration is simple via Bluetooth v5.1, and the unit supports wireless OTA firmware updates.

It works with RS485 Modbus, UART sensors (3.3V/5V), and interrupt inputs, making it compatible with a wide range of industrial devices. Controllable 3.3V and 5V power outputs efficiently power external sensors without draining battery life.
