LoRaWAN Microwave Radar Distance Sensor – Battery Powered (0.5–20 m Range)
A high-precision 24 GHz microwave radar distance sensor built for harsh and dusty environments where ultrasonic and LiDAR sensors fail. Designed for long-range LoRaWAN communication and multi-year battery life.
Australian Stocked & Locally Supported by ProSense — Works with ProSight & All Third-Party IoT Platforms
The LoRaWAN Microwave Radar Distance Sensor is a rugged long-range distance measurement device using advanced 24 GHz FMCW microwave radar. Unlike ultrasonic or LiDAR sensors, microwave radar is highly stable in rain, fog, dust, steam, condensation, and debris, making it ideal for challenging industrial conditions.
It measures two distances simultaneously — the closest object and the next object behind it — enabling advanced applications such as bin fill monitoring, multi-layer object detection, parking automation, and industrial presence sensing.
Using LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A, the sensor delivers low-power, long-range wireless connectivity with an internal 8500mAh Li-SOCI₂ battery providing up to 5 years of operation. The unit also supports BLE configuration, OTA firmware updates, periodic uplinks, and configurable alarm thresholds.
Fully compatible with ProSight Cloud and all LoRaWAN platforms such as TTN, ChirpStack, Helium, and private LoRaWAN networks.
