LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture & Temperature Sensor – Battery Powered
A long-range, battery-powered LoRaWAN sensor that measures leaf moisture and temperature with high accuracy for precision agriculture. Ideal for dew, frost, irrigation, and disease-risk monitoring.
Australian stocked and supported locally by ProSense.
This Battery-Powered LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture & Temperature Sensor provides highly accurate, real-time crop canopy data for smarter irrigation scheduling, disease prevention, and environmental monitoring.
Using advanced FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) technology, the sensor measures moisture based on changes in dielectric properties caused by water droplets, dew, and condensation on the leaf surface. The probe is designed in a realistic leaf shape with 15 vein lines per centimetre, enabling detection of even tiny droplets and subtle changes in wetness.
The device transmits data over long-range LoRaWAN, making it suitable for broadacre farms, orchards, vineyards, and remote agricultural sites. It also supports BLE mobile configuration, OTA firmware updates, and downlink parameter control.
Powered by a high-capacity 8500mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery, the sensor is designed for multi-year deployment with minimal maintenance. Built into an IP66-rated enclosure with an IP67-rated probe, it is purpose-built for harsh outdoor agricultural environments.
With local Australian stock and ProSense technical support, deployment and integration into ProSight or third-party platforms is fast and reliable.
