The Dragino WSC2-L is a LoRaWAN weather station transmitter and environmental data acquisition unit designed to collect measurements from compatible weather stations and sensors and transmit the information to an IoT server over a LoRaWAN network.

The WSC2-L serves as the central communication unit of a Dragino weather station solution. It can receive data from various sensors and transmit the collected measurements wirelessly using LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A. It is compatible with standard LoRaWAN gateways, allowing sensor data to be sent to a LoRaWAN network server and then viewed or processed through an IoT platform.

The transmitter can work with the WSS-09 9-in-1 weather sensor, which measures parameters including wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, air pressure, illumination, PM2.5, PM10, and noise. It can also support the WSS-08 optical or tipping-bucket rain gauge and other compatible sensors.

The WSC2-L also provides an RS485 interface for connecting third-party sensors. This gives system integrators flexibility to expand the monitoring system with additional compatible RS485/Modbus devices. A pulse counting input can also be used with compatible tipping-bucket rain gauges.
