DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil pH and Temperature Sensor

From $488.00Sale Price

DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil pH and Temperature Sensor is a LoRaWAN soil pH sensor designed to monitor soil pH and temperature for connected agriculture applications. It measures soil pH from 3 to 10 pH and provides soil temperature readings, with temperature compensation for pH measurement. The sensor uses a waterproof probe designed for extended installation in soil and transmits measurements over LoRaWAN. Bluetooth configuration, LoRaWAN remote configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates provide practical options for setup and ongoing management.

Quantity

The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil pH and Temperature Sensor is a wireless soil monitoring sensor developed for smart agriculture applications. It measures both soil pH and soil temperature, allowing collected readings to be transmitted to a LoRaWAN platform for monitoring and analysis.

The pH probe uses a Solid AgCl reference electrode and pure metal pH-sensitive electrode. The manufacturer specifies a pH measurement range of 3 to 10 pH, with 0.01 pH resolution and temperature compensation from 0 to 50 °C.

The probe is rated IP68 and has a specified length of 3.5 metres, making it suitable for installation where the sensing element needs to remain in soil for extended periods. The main enclosure is rated IP66.

How it works

  • The probe measures soil pH using its pH-sensitive electrode and reference electrode.
  • Soil temperature is measured alongside pH to provide temperature-compensated pH readings.
  • The sensor processes the measurements and transmits data using LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A.
  • The device can connect to a compatible LoRaWAN network using its configured frequency band and registered device credentials.
  • Bluetooth v5.1 and LoRaWAN downlink functions can be used for configuration, while wireless OTA updates support firmware management.

Why choose this product

  • Provides both soil pH and temperature monitoring from one sensor.
  • LoRaWAN communication allows measurements to be transmitted wirelessly over long distances using low data rates.
  • The probe is designed for extended soil installation and carries an IP68 protection rating.
  • End-user pH calibration is supported.
  • Bluetooth and LoRaWAN configuration options provide flexibility during setup and operation.
  • Low-power operation is specified by the manufacturer, including a 5 µA sleep-mode current at 3.3 V.

Benefits

  • Supports remote monitoring of soil acidity or alkalinity.
  • Helps provide consistent soil pH and temperature data for connected monitoring systems.
  • Reduces the need for wired sensor connections between the field measurement point and the LoRaWAN network.
  • Provides a suitable sensing option for IoT-based agriculture monitoring projects.
