This Battery-Powered Cellular Soil pH & Temperature Sensor provides precise, continuous monitoring of soil pH and temperature using NB-IoT or Cat-M1 cellular networks. Designed for smart agriculture, soil health assessments, and long-term field research, it delivers real-time insights needed to optimise fertilisation, irrigation, and crop management.
The sensor uses a solid AgCl reference electrode paired with a pure metal pH-sensing electrode, ensuring long-term accuracy and stability even in harsh soil conditions. The robust IP68 waterproof probe is built for permanent in-ground installation and performs reliably across a range of soil types, including mineral soils, loam, clay, and saline-affected farmland.
Data is transmitted via NB-IoT / LTE Cat-M1, supporting modern IoT protocols such as MQTT, MQTTs, UDP, and TCP. With BLE configuration, downlink control, and OTA firmware updates, the device is easy to install, manage, and scale.
Powered by an 8500mAh Li-SOCl₂ battery, this sensor supports several years of autonomous operation—ideal for remote paddocks, orchards, vineyards, and environmental field stations where regular maintenance is not practical.
