ProSight Digital Laser Tachometer - Contact & Non-Contact RPM Meter
ProSight Digital Laser Tachometer - Contact & Non-Contact RPM Meter provides contact and non-contact measurement of rotational speed, with a non-contact range of 3 to 100,000 RPM and contact measurement from 3 to 19,999 RPM. It can also measure linear surface speed and includes 2,000-group memory, real-time data logging, PC data upload, adjustable alarms and Max/Min/Avg functions.
The ProSight Digital Laser Tachometer - Contact & Non-Contact RPM Meter combines contact and non-contact tachometer functions in one handheld instrument. The non-contact laser mode measures rotational speed from a distance of 50 to 500 mm, while contact measurement uses the supplied probe tips. This gives technicians flexibility when checking motors, rotating machinery, fans and other moving components.
With a non-contact measurement range extending to 100,000 RPM, the ProSight Digital Laser Tachometer - Contact & Non-Contact RPM Meter is suited to a broad range of speed-testing tasks. It can also measure linear speed in metres, metres per minute and feet per minute.
How it works
- Non-contact measurement: The laser/photo measurement system detects rotational speed without physical contact with the rotating component.
- Contact measurement: One of the four supplied probe tips can be used for direct measurement of rotating components.
- Surface speed measurement: The instrument can measure linear surface speed in m, m/min and ft/min.
- Data recording: Measurements can be stored in the internal memory, with capacity for up to 2,000 groups.
- PC analysis: Recorded data can be uploaded to a PC for further review and analysis.
Why choose this product?
The main advantage of the TAC-565 is its combination of contact and non-contact measurement in a single instrument. The non-contact mode can be useful for rotating parts where physical contact is undesirable, while contact probes provide an alternative measurement method when direct testing is appropriate.
Its recording functions also make it more suitable for repeated inspections than a basic tachometer. Adjustable recording intervals, Max/Min/Avg functions and high/low alarms help technicians monitor and document operating conditions.
