DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil Moisture & EC Sensor Transmitter
DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil Moisture & EC Sensor Transmitter is a LoRaWAN soil monitoring transmitter designed to measure soil moisture, soil temperature and soil conductivity. It supports up to four external sensor probes and uses FDR measurement with temperature and conductivity compensation for soil moisture measurement. Data is transmitted wirelessly to a LoRaWAN IoT server, making the SE0X-LB suitable for remote agricultural soil monitoring applications.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Soil Moisture & EC Sensor Transmitter is a LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A soil moisture and EC sensor transmitter for remote soil monitoring. It can be connected to up to four external sensor probes and measures soil moisture, temperature and conductivity. The transmitter uses an 8500/19000mAh Li/SOCl2 battery or Solar panel + 3000mAh Li-ion battery and supports Bluetooth v5.1 configuration and wireless firmware updates.
Full product description
The Dragino SE0X-LB is designed for wireless soil monitoring using LoRaWAN connectivity. It measures soil moisture, soil temperature and soil conductivity, with the collected data transmitted to a LoRaWAN IoT server for remote monitoring and analysis.
The soil moisture measurement uses the FDR method, with compensation based on soil temperature and conductivity. Dragino states that the sensor has been factory calibrated for mineral soil and is designed for saline-alkali and loamy soil types.
How it works
- External sensor probes are connected to the SE0X-LB transmitter.
- The probes measure soil moisture, temperature and conductivity.
- Soil moisture is calculated using the FDR method with temperature and EC compensation.
- Measurement data is transmitted wirelessly using LoRaWAN.
- The data can be received by a compatible LoRaWAN network and IoT server.
- Bluetooth v5.1 and LoRaWAN remote configuration are supported, while wireless OTA firmware updates allow the device firmware to be updated remotely.
Why choose this product
The SE0X-LB is suited to applications where soil conditions need to be monitored remotely without relying on a wired data connection. Its support for multiple external probes allows soil measurements to be collected from multiple points, while LoRaWAN provides long-range wireless communication with low data rates and low power consumption.
Benefits
- Measures three key soil parameters - moisture, temperature and conductivity.
- Supports up to four external sensor probes.
- Provides wireless LoRaWAN data transmission for remote monitoring.
- Uses low-power operation for extended battery-powered deployment.
- Supports remote configuration through Bluetooth v5.1 and LoRaWAN.
- Supports wireless OTA firmware updates.
- IP66-rated enclosure provides protection against water and dust ingress.
