DRAGINO LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture and Temperature Sensor
DRAGINO LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture and Temperature Sensor is a LoRaWAN leaf moisture sensor designed for agricultural monitoring applications. It measures leaf moisture and leaf temperature, allowing collected data to be analysed for conditions such as watering, moisture, dew and freezing. The leaf-shaped probe uses FDR technology to detect changes in the dielectric constant caused by liquid on the leaf surface. With LoRaWAN connectivity, Bluetooth configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates, it is suited to remote monitoring deployments where long-range, low-power communication is required.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture and Temperature Sensor is designed to monitor leaf conditions in smart agriculture applications. It measures both the amount of moisture on the leaf surface and leaf temperature, providing data that can be transmitted to a LoRaWAN platform for analysis.
The sensor probe uses FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) technology to detect changes in the dielectric constant caused by liquid on the leaf surface. Its leaf-shaped design is intended to better replicate the characteristics of a real leaf, with the probe structure designed to detect small moisture droplets.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Leaf Moisture and Temperature Sensor uses LoRaWAN Class A communication for long-range, low-data-rate wireless transmission. It also supports Bluetooth v5.1, LoRaWAN remote configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates.
How it works
- The leaf-shaped probe detects moisture on the leaf surface using FDR technology.
- Leaf moisture is measured as a percentage of water drop over the total leaf surface.
- The probe also measures leaf temperature.
- Measurement data is transmitted using LoRaWAN wireless communication.
- Bluetooth and LoRaWAN remote configuration can be used to adjust device parameters.
- Wireless OTA functionality allows firmware updates without a physical connection.
