DRAGINO LoRaWAN Industrial Dry Contact Monitor
DRAGINO LoRaWAN Industrial Dry Contact Monitor is a long-range LoRaWAN dry contact sensor designed to monitor contact status, open/close events and pulse counts. It also incorporates temperature and humidity monitoring, with an external 3-wire connection for dry contact applications. The sensor supports LoRaWAN Class A, event-based open alarms, data logging and remote configuration. A built-in 2400mAh non-rechargeable battery provides up to 10 years of operation, depending on transmission frequency.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Industrial Dry Contact Monitor is a LoRaWAN dry contact sensor for monitoring connected switching or pulse-based devices and transmitting the collected information to an IoT server.
The unit has a 3-wire external connection consisting of VCC, GND and INT. It supports open/close detection and pulse counting, making it suitable for applications where the operating state or activity of an external contact needs to be monitored remotely.
The sensor also includes built-in temperature and humidity measurement. An open alarm function can be configured to provide notification when the monitored contact enters the specified open state.
How it works
- The external dry contact is connected through the 3-wire VCC/GND/INT interface.
- The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Industrial Dry Contact Monitor detects the connected contact status or counts pulses.
- Temperature and humidity data are measured by the built-in sensors.
- Recorded information is transmitted to an IoT server through a compatible LoRaWAN gateway.
- If network coverage is temporarily unavailable, the data logging function stores readings for later retrieval when connectivity is restored.
Why choose this product
- Long-range wireless monitoring: Uses LoRaWAN Class A communication and can operate with a standard LoRaWAN gateway.
- Flexible dry contact monitoring: Supports both open/close status monitoring and pulse counting.
- Additional environmental data: Built-in temperature and humidity sensing provides supplementary information alongside the dry contact data.
- Data logging: Helps retain readings during periods without network coverage.
- Remote configuration: Parameters can be changed through AT commands or LoRaWAN downlink.
- Long battery operation: The built-in 2400mAh non-chargeable battery is specified for up to 10 years, subject to the transmission frequency and operating conditions.
Benefits
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Industrial Dry Contact Monitor can reduce the need for wired communications to a monitoring system by transmitting dry contact information over a LoRaWAN network. Its combination of contact monitoring, pulse counting and environmental sensing makes it useful where several types of field information need to be collected by a wireless IoT system.
Its data logging capability is particularly useful for installations where LoRaWAN coverage may occasionally be interrupted, as readings can be retained and retrieved after communication is restored.
