DRAGINO LoRaWAN Analog Sensor 0-20mA 0-30V | Solar Powered Available
DRAGINO LoRaWAN Analog Sensor 0-20mA 0-30V | Solar Powered Available connects conventional analogue sensors to a LoRaWAN IoT network. It provides one 0-20 mA input and one 0-30 V input, plus 5 V and 12 V outputs for powering external sensors. Available with either an 8500 mAh Li/SOCl2 battery or a solar panel with a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery, it is designed for long-term remote monitoring and supports Bluetooth v5.1 configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates.
The DRAGINO LoRaWAN Analog Sensor 0-20mA 0-30V | Solar Powered Available is a LoRaWAN analogue sensor interface for connecting traditional industrial sensors to an IoT monitoring system. It accepts analogue signals from compatible sensors and converts the measured values into LoRaWAN wireless data, which can then be sent to an IoT platform through a LoRaWAN gateway.
The unit provides one 0-20 mA input and one 0-30 V input. It also provides 5 V and 12 V outputs for powering external sensors, allowing compatible analogue instruments to be connected directly to the device.
The PS-LB/LS-NA can be used with various types of external industrial sensors. Dragino's documentation gives examples including pressure sensors, flow sensors, level sensors, temperature and humidity probes, and liquid analysis sensors.
How it works
- An external analogue sensor is connected to the PS-LB/LS-NA.
- The device can provide 5 V or 12 V output power to a compatible external sensor.
- The sensor's analogue output is connected to either the 0-20 mA or 0-30 V input.
- The PS-LB/LS-NA measures the analogue signal.
- The measured value is converted into LoRaWAN wireless data.
- The data is transmitted through a LoRaWAN gateway to an IoT platform.
- Configuration can be performed using Bluetooth v5.1 or remotely through LoRaWAN.
- Firmware can be updated wirelessly using OTA functionality.
Why choose this product?
- Connects conventional sensors to LoRaWAN: Allows compatible analogue instruments to be incorporated into a wireless IoT monitoring system without requiring the external sensor itself to have LoRaWAN capability.
- Two analogue input types: Supports both current and voltage signal measurement.
- Sensor power outputs: The 5 V and 12 V outputs can power compatible external sensors.
- Flexible power options: The range includes a battery-powered version and a solar-powered version.
- Remote configuration: Bluetooth and LoRaWAN configuration options can simplify installation and ongoing adjustments.
- Long-range wireless communication: LoRaWAN is designed for long-range, low-data-rate communication with low power consumption.
Benefits
The PS-LB/LS-NA provides a practical way to add wireless connectivity to existing analogue sensing equipment. Instead of replacing a compatible 4-20 mA or voltage-output sensor with a dedicated wireless sensor, the analogue signal can be collected by the PS-LB/LS-NA and transmitted over LoRaWAN.
For remote installations, the PS-LS-NA solar-powered configuration can be useful where access for routine battery replacement is difficult.
