DRAGINO 80 GHz LoRaWAN Microwave Radar Distance Sensor | Solar Powered Available is an 80 GHz LoRaWAN microwave radar sensor for non-contact distance measurement. Using FMCW radar technology, it provides measurement ranges of up to 3 m, 12 m or 25 m, with 1 mm resolution and ±20 mm accuracy. The sensor is designed for applications such as liquid level measurement, parking management, object detection, sewer monitoring and bottom water level monitoring. The MR-XX-LS version combines solar power with a 3000 mAh Li-ion battery for long-term operation.

The DRAGINO 80 GHz LoRaWAN Microwave Radar Distance Sensor | Solar Powered Available is designed for remote distance and level monitoring where reliable non-contact measurement is required.

It uses 80 GHz FMCW microwave radar to determine the distance between the sensor and a target. Three measurement ranges are available: 200 to 3000 mm, 200 to 12000 mm and 200 to 25000 mm. The sensor provides 1 mm resolution and ±20 mm accuracy.

Microwave radar can be particularly useful in environments where condensation or dust may affect other distance measurement technologies. Dragino states that the sensor can continue to measure correctly when water or thick dust is present on top of the sensor.

The device communicates using LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A, allowing measured data to be transmitted wirelessly over a LoRaWAN network. It also supports Bluetooth v5.1 configuration, LoRaWAN remote configuration and wireless OTA firmware updates.
