DRAGINO Industrial LoRaWAN Temperature & Humidity Sensor

The DRAGINO Industrial LoRaWAN Temperature & Humidity Sensor provides wireless monitoring of ambient temperature and relative humidity for IoT applications. The sensor uses an SHT31 digital temperature and humidity sensor from Sensirion, which Dragino states is calibrated, linearised and temperature compensated. The sensor is housed in a waterproof anti-condensation casing for long-term use.

The device communicates using LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class A. Its low-power LoRa communication allows measurement data to be transmitted over long distances at low data rates, making it suitable for distributed monitoring installations where conventional wired connections may be impractical.

How it works

• The SHT31 sensor measures the surrounding temperature and relative humidity.
• The S31-LB/LS processes the sensor readings and periodically sends data through the LoRaWAN network.
• Data can be received by a compatible LoRaWAN gateway and forwarded to an IoT server or monitoring platform.
• The built-in data logging function can retain measurements when a LoRaWAN connection is unavailable and upload the stored data when the connection is restored.
• Temperature and humidity alarm functions can be configured for notification when specified conditions occur.
