MONNIT Wireless Serial Modbus Gateway
MONNIT Wireless Serial Modbus Gateway provides a practical interface between Monnit ALTA wireless sensors and wired Modbus systems. It supports RS-232C and RS-485 communications and Modbus RTU/ASCII serial protocols, allowing wireless sensor data to be incorporated into existing control and monitoring infrastructure. The 433 MHz version is specified by Monnit for Australia and Asia-Pacific applications.
The MONNIT Wireless Serial Modbus Gateway acts as a data concentrator for Monnit ALTA wireless sensor networks. It allows wireless sensing devices to communicate with existing serial Modbus infrastructure, including PLC and SCADA systems.
The gateway supports both RS-232C and RS-485 interfaces and communicates using Modbus RTU or ASCII serial protocols. A protocol selector jumper is provided for selecting the RS-232 or RS-485 interface.
