Insertion Ultrasonic Water Flow Meter – RS485, 4–20 mA & Relay Output
An insertion-type ultrasonic flow meter designed for large-diameter pipelines. Supporting RS485 (Modbus RTU), 4–20 mA, and relay outputs, this solution is ideal for water, chilled water, and heat energy monitoring applications.
The ProSense Insertion Ultrasonic Flow Meter is engineered for accurate liquid flow measurement in medium to large pipelines. Unlike clamp-on systems, the insertion probe mounts directly into the pipe, offering stable signal performance while reducing installation cost compared to full-bore flow meters.
Using ultrasonic transit-time measurement, the system provides reliable flow rate monitoring for water, treated wastewater, and compatible process liquids. The insertion design makes it particularly suitable for retrofitting into existing pipework, especially where full pipe removal is impractical.
With integrated RS485 (Modbus RTU) communication, 4–20 mA analogue output, and relay outputs, the meter integrates seamlessly with PLCs, SCADA systems, BMS platforms, and energy monitoring systems. It is well suited for water distribution networks, HVAC chilled water loops, district heating, and industrial process lines.
