DRAGINO Photosynthetically Active Radiation Sensor
DRAGINO Photosynthetically Active Radiation Sensor is a photosynthetically active radiation sensor designed to measure natural light within the 400-700 nm wavelength range relevant to plant photosynthesis. With an RS485 interface, it is designed for use with the Dragino weather station solution, allowing PAR data to be collected and transmitted through a compatible WSC1-L weather station processor. It is suitable for agricultural, horticultural and environmental monitoring applications.
The DRAGINO Photosynthetically Active Radiation Sensor is designed to measure photosynthetically active radiation, also known as PAR, from natural light. PAR represents the portion of the light spectrum between 400 and 700 nm that is relevant to photosynthesis.
The sensor uses precision optical detection with a 400-700 nm optical filter. When natural light reaches the sensing area, the sensor generates a signal related to the intensity of the incoming radiation. According to Dragino's documentation, its response is related to the cosine of the direct angle of the incident light.
The DRAGINO Photosynthetically Active Radiation Sensor is designed for the Dragino weather station system. Its RS485 interface connects to the WSC1-L weather station main processor, which can collect the PAR measurement and upload the data to an IoT server through LoRaWAN.
