The RS485-to-LoRaWAN Converter (Dragino RS485-LN Series) is a high-performance industrial device designed to convert traditional RS485/Modbus equipment into long-range LoRaWAN wireless nodes. This dramatically simplifies installation, eliminates trenching and cabling, and reduces both deployment and maintenance costs.

The converter enables users to remotely monitor and control RS485 devices such as meters, pumps, PLCs, controllers, inverters, environmental sensors, and industrial instruments — all through a long-range LoRaWAN network.

How it Works

Uplink (Device → Cloud):
The converter automatically sends user-defined Modbus/RS485 commands to connected devices, receives their responses, processes the data using flexible rules, and uploads the resulting payload to your LoRaWAN server.

Downlink (Cloud → Device):
The converter operates in LoRaWAN Class C, allowing it to receive real-time commands from the cloud and forward them directly to RS485 devices for remote control.
