Rugged outdoor LoRaWAN RS485 end node for weather stations and remote monitoring. Solar-powered with battery backup, it integrates seamlessly with LoRaWAN networks to collect and transmit sensor data from default or third-party RS485 devices.

The WSC1-L is the main process unit in the Dragino Weather Station solution, designed for reliable outdoor data collection and transmission. Powered by a 12 V solar system with a built-in 1000 mAh rechargeable lithium battery for backup, it ensures continuous operation even in low sunlight conditions.

This IP65-rated unit supports RS485/Modbus communication, enabling it to interface with both default and third-party RS485 sensors. Sensor data is transmitted over the LoRaWAN wireless protocol, fully compatible with LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class C devices, and works seamlessly with standard LoRaWAN gateways.

Each device comes preloaded with unique LoRaWAN registration keys for quick deployment — simply register the keys to your LoRaWAN server and the unit will auto-connect once powered. Remote configuration is supported via downlink commands, and firmware updates can be applied through the programming port.

With multi-band frequency support (including AS923, AU915, EU868, and more), the WSC1-L is ideal for weather stations, environmental monitoring, or converting RS485 data streams into LoRaWAN transmissions for cloud-based analytics.
